Freakish Obsession
We have a freakish obsession with studying and developing not just clever marketing, but marketing material that gets direct results. Here are a few examples how this has interfered in our personal lives:
The stair stepper next to us at the gym is usually vacant because members have grown tired of listening to us critique or give praise to the ads in the fitness magazine propped in front of us. Friends don’t invite us to Super Bowl parties anymore because our passionate commercial reviews have been known to last more than a quarter. At least one of our spouses will not take him shopping anymore because of a spontaneous public soapbox speech on how a ‘point of sale’ poster could be improved.
